OLD PENINSULA SOCCER Club Member Code of Conduct
1. Membership is at the discretion of the Soccer Club Committee. Throughout the year, if a member fails to uphold the values of the club, then their membership may come under review by the soccer club committee in accordance with the club's constitution.
2. It is expected that members will behave in an appropriate and dignified manner at all club sanctioned events. If a member does not, then a suspension may be given at the Committee’s discretion.
3. Members will never abuse a match official or club official. Members should also understand that the majority of people join the club for social reasons and not just to play football. With that in mind, any member who treats other members in an inappropriate manner will be suspended from the club and have their membership placed under review by the Committee. Bullying or harassing of referees, officials, opposition, supporters, or teammates will not be tolerated.
4. If a member is committed of a guilty offence by the league association, the seriousness of that offence may be reviewed by the club, and a further suspension may be put in place by the Committee.
5. A member must never engage in any racial, cultural, religious, or gender motivated abuse. Anyone found guilty of this will have their membership of Old Peninsula Soccer Club terminated with immediate effect.
6. Any member behaving in an inappropriate way online, including the harassment of other members online, or any action that could bring the club into disrepute, will have their membership placed under immediate review by the Old Peninsula Soccer Club Committee.
7. Members will not take any drugs on school property or at away grounds.
8. Our home venue at the Detmold is a non-smoking area and smoking is banned.
9. No alcohol is to be consumed up at the Detmold.
10. All members must show respect to club-owned equipment and other member’s equipment. Damage to property will be deemed a serious offence and anyone who engages in this type of activity will have their membership placed under review by the Old Peninsula Soccer Club Committee. Anyone who damages equipment will be required to pay for its replacement. Anyone who steals club or another player's equipment will be suspended.
11. Members must respect the decisions made by the Old Peninsula Soccer Club Committee. The Committee is a volunteer organisation which gives up much of its time to create a positive club environment. Abuse towards the committee or actions taken to undermine the committee is not acceptable.
12. Club uniforms are the responsibility of all players, and they should be brought to each match by the player. Failure to bring your correct uniform could result in that player not participating in the match. Members must wear the correct uniform on game day showing respect to the club and sponsors.
13. Training attendance is compulsory. Whilst we understand that many members will have School, University, or work commitments, all players are expected to attend training at least once a week.
14. As the season is long, we understand that members will undoubtedly be unavailable for certain weeks of the season for School, University, work, or family reasons. If you know you will be unavailable for a match, please make sure you have informed a club official at the start of that week so that there are no selection problems.
15. All members will contribute to creating a positive, family-like environment at the club that we can be proud of. Any member who damages the club's culture or reputation will have the membership immediately considered by the committee.
